SAN FRANCISCO, October 2026. There is something funny about the first pitch deck I made for Artisan in 2023. We were already describing much of what we're launching today: AI employees that could understand a company and take responsibility for substantial work alongside its people.
Today we're introducing Artie, and putting that original vision to work.
The ambition was always bigger than sales
This was the company I wanted to build from the beginning, but the ambition was ahead of what we could reliably build.
Ava brought that vision to life in outbound sales and became the foundation of Artisan's sales business.
With Artie, we are expanding the mission: you shape his job around your business and create new AI employees as the work grows.
A quantum leap in AI
The technology has moved a long way since that first deck. OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra combines stronger reasoning with coding and computer use for longer, more complex work. Its new GPT-Live 1 voice model lets a conversation continue while an agent reasons and uses tools in the background.
This makes a different kind of working relationship possible. You can talk through a project while the work happens, change direction, and have an AI employee act on what you have agreed.
Artie brings that intelligence together with memory, knowledge of your company and the ability to work with other employees. This is the combination we have been building toward.
An AI team shaped around your company
Every company has its own ambitions and ways of working. I believe its AI employees should reflect that.
You might give Artie a product launch to own, a hiring round to run or a customer onboarding program to manage. He works through the steps, uses the tools the job needs and coordinates with the people involved.
You can also ask him to create AI colleagues with their own roles, sharing company knowledge and working toward the same goals.
The team takes shape around what you want to build.
A new industrial revolution
I believe we are at the beginning of a new industrial revolution. AI is changing how much work people can set in motion, and how much a company can attempt.
A company's ambition is often shaped by the people it can afford to put behind it. Good ideas wait because everyone is already busy.
Entire businesses never get started because the distance between an idea and the resources to make it happen feels too large.
AI employees will change that calculation. More people will build companies. Small teams will take on bigger challenges. Established businesses will act on more of the ideas already inside them.
I want those gains to show up in people's lives, too. We should be able to build something more ambitious and still have time to enjoy it.
I'm excited to see what people build when more of their ideas have a team behind them.
