Understand call recordings and transcripts
Review notices, saved material and the difference between recording and work.
Recording settings and participant notices govern what a live call retains. A transcript, audio recording, summary and completed task are separate records. Workspace admins can read Artisan emails and the transcripts and recordings of its meetings and calls with other people. Your own private 1:1 conversation with an Artisan stays private.

Check recording before the call
Review the recording controls available in workspace or Artisan communication settings. Follow the disclosure and participant-consent flow shown for that channel. A call being connected does not mean recording has begun.
Respect participants' choices
If a participant declines recording or asks to stop it, follow the call's supported recording control. Stopping recording and ending the call are different actions. Do not promise that stopping removes all material already recorded.
Find saved material
Open the original call conversation or its authorized record. Read the summary and available transcript or download. If an Activity Calls view is not enabled, use the original call card instead; a missing history page is not proof there was no call.
Review before using the transcript
Check names, numbers, decisions and who said what. A transcript can be incomplete or inaccurate. Verify important commitments before turning them into a customer message or shared decision.
