Update or unpublish a live website
Keep the intended link current and verify access after a change.
Manage published copies from Hive mind's Files area and its published view. The older Sites route redirects there. Updating the existing publication keeps its identity; creating a new link is a separate choice.
On this page
Find the current publication
Open the published view, select the copy and check its title, audience and live URL. Opening Publish on an already published file can recover that publication rather than creating another.
Prepare the changed source
Ask Artie to revise the saved website or file, then inspect the new candidate. Keep supporting assets with the source. Review what will replace the live release before choosing Update.
Verify the updated link
Open the stable URL after confirmation and check the new content and access. An existing visitor can still have an older page loaded; confirm a fresh opening rather than relying on that cached tab. If the update is unclear, inspect the current publication before replaying it.
Unpublish when needed
Use the publication's Unpublish control and review the confirmation. Check that new visitors can no longer open the live copy. Unpublishing does not delete the saved source or recall downloaded files. Discarding an unpublished preview is a different action.
