Give feedback that carries forward
The feedback you give Artie can apply to one task or to future work. Reusable directions are kept as instructions, while facts are stored as sourced memory. Tell him when a change should apply only to the current task.
Be specific about the change
Tell Artie what should be different in the result. Include the detail that matters and why.
“Lead with what changed, not the whole list” gives clearer direction than “make this better.”
Point to the source
When a fact or definition is wrong, identify the authoritative record. For a recurring report, explain:
- The time period.
- How each metric is defined.
- Any exceptions that should appear.
Check the next delivery
Artie keeps reusable directions as instructions and facts as sourced memory. A request for this task only stays with the task.
- Review the next delivery to see the change applied.
- Correct or undo any information he should not retain.
