Understand team roles and private access

Separate workspace administration from access to personal information.

A workspace role controls administrative authority. Personal accounts, private conversations and restricted sources keep their own access boundaries.

Use member access for daily work

Members can work with the Artisans and resources available to them, connect their own supported accounts and give jobs within that access. Hiring a role or joining a workspace does not grant every company or personal permission.

Use admin access for company controls

Admins manage supported company settings, invitations, shared connections and billing. Only grant admin access to people who need those controls. Check the person and workspace before changing a role.

Respect private and shared audiences

A Slack channel is a shared audience. A private chat and personal account have different audiences. Admins can read the email an Artisan sends and receives, and its meeting and customer-call transcripts and recordings. Your own private chats and 1:1 calls with an Artisan remain private, as do your personal connected accounts. Members can read the team's Artisan email threads with people outside the workspace through an Artisan in their private conversation.

Review departures and transfers

When someone leaves, review membership, personal connections, task ownership and pending decisions together. Move company responsibilities to an accountable person through supported controls. Disconnecting one account does not prove all its prior output has been removed from every destination.
