Set permissions and approvals
Artie’s permissions apply to specific accounts, resources and audiences. An admin controls access to company apps, while each person controls access to their own accounts. Choosing an employee role does not grant access by itself.
Choose the setting for each action
An admin sets permissions for supported company actions. The available settings are:
- Off
- Require approval
- Allowed
Each setting is scoped to the account, resources and audience. The owner controls access to a personal account.
Give access for the responsibility
A role does not grant access by itself.
- Identify the apps the responsibility needs.
- Connect supported accounts through the admin or personal account owner.
- Define the permitted resources and actions.
Reading a document and sending an external message are different permissions.
Treat approval as a specific decision
Approving one action does not grant standing permission.
Any wider access needs an explicit change from the person authorized to grant it.
Review the boundary when the work changes
Check permissions when you expand a responsibility.
- Review the accounts and actions the expanded work needs.
- Have the authorized person make any necessary permission changes.
- Confirm access before expecting Artie to take on the new work.
