A setting or edit did not save
Recover a failed or conflicting edit without losing your intent.
A successful click is not always a saved change. Network errors and another person's edit can leave a form needing reconciliation.

Keep your intended change
Retain the text or fields you meant to save. Read the error and check whether it identifies a network failure, missing permission or a conflicting version. Do not assume a banner means the new value is already active.
Read the current value
Refresh the affected record through its normal page or reopen it when safe. Compare what is saved with your intended change. If someone else edited it, preserve their relevant changes before submitting yours.
Retry the supported action
Retry once the dependency is resolved and the current value is understood. Check the confirmation and saved state. For a purchase, publication or external write, check its outcome before repeating the operation.
Report a repeatable problem
Send support the section, record link, error and time. Describe the intended change without including secrets. Keep your draft until the save is confirmed.
