Set shared company instructions
Keep company standards in one place without copying them into every role.
Shared instructions are for standards that should apply across the workspace. Personal preferences and one-off task directions belong in their narrower scopes.

Read the current company guidance
An authorized editor can open Instructions in Hive mind and select the shared workspace guidance. Check the current text and pinned rules before changing it. Avoid replacing a whole document just to add one exception.
Write the durable standard
Use clear rules and examples for terminology, source definitions, style or ways of working. Keep frequently changing business facts in their source app or Memory.
Example requestUse our finance team's definition of net revenue retention. Show the reporting period and link the source sheet. Lead company updates with changes and decisions needed.
Save and read back
Save the change, then reopen the current text. If another editor changed the instructions while you were editing, reconcile the newer version rather than overwriting it. A review may offer useful advice after saving.
Respect the boundary
Shared guidance cannot override another person's private-account authority or grant a wider audience for their private material. Use the appropriate permission controls for access and the individual task for an exceptional action.
