Retire an Artisan without losing track of its work
Review responsibilities, pending actions and account cleanup before ending a role.
Retiring an Artisan affects more than its portrait in the sidebar. Review its ongoing work and channels so responsibilities do not disappear or run twice under a replacement.
Retirement controls depend on rollout availability. If Fire or retirement is absent from the employee settings, contact support about the exit plan.

Review the exit plan
Open the employee's retirement or Fire control in its settings. Review the work and pending decisions shown before confirming. If the control is not available to you, ask a workspace admin.
Choose what happens to the work
Use the supported transfer or stop options for existing responsibilities. Give the new owner the original outcome, schedule, sources and pending decisions. Do not create a second recurring job while the old one remains active.
Check uncertain actions first
A message or app change already submitted may still need reconciliation. Retiring the employee does not undo that external action. Keep its receipt and resolve what happened before repeating it from another Artisan.
Verify the final state
Confirm the employee is retired, the transferred work has the intended owner and stopped work is actually stopped. Review mailbox, number and app-account cleanup separately. Keep needed outputs and records through your authorized download or export controls.
