Understand unread messages and Needs you

Separate a new reply from a decision that needs your action.

An unread message tells you something arrived. Needs you means there is a specific action for you, such as an answer, connection or approval. Reading a message does not resolve that request.

Open the linked work

Select a Needs you row from Home, the Artisan or Tasks. Read the actual question or action, then use its Reply, Connect or review control. The request belongs to the person who can answer it; being nearby in a shared channel does not make you its approver.

Treat notifications as navigation

Unread badges and in-app notifications help you reach a conversation. Opening a notification should take you to the relevant exchange. Dismissing a notification does not cancel work, decline an approval or mark a missing decision as made.

Distinguish waiting from needing you

Work waiting on Artie, a provider or its next scheduled time may need no action from you. Read the task's reason before changing anything. If it names a missing app or decision, complete that specific step.

If a request seems stale

Return to its task and refresh the current state. Check whether someone already answered or the proposed action changed. Do not repeatedly approve an old card to force progress; use the current recovery control or contact support.
