Understand Artie and Artisans

Artie is the product, made by Artisan AI. Artie is also the name of the generalist Artisan you can start with. Each Artisan is an AI employee with its own role, instructions and responsibilities. You can hire a specialist or create a custom role when that helps you organize the work.

Start with one useful job

Work with an Artisan in web chat or Slack. Ask for an outcome such as a research brief, a summary of customer feedback, a meeting preparation note or a draft message you can review. Attach the reference files or connect the app accounts the work needs. You can give one-off work or agree a recurring responsibility with a schedule and delivery destination.

Summarize this customer feedback file for our product meeting. Group the common problems, include examples and keep the draft here for me to review.

Give the right context and access

Hiring an Artisan does not connect your apps automatically. Shared company knowledge, personal sources and connected accounts have their own access. Name the intended file, account, project and audience when there are several possibilities. Set instructions and skills when you want a preference or process to be reusable.

Check what is ready and what is finished

An Artisan may still need an app connection, a decision from you or a supported capability before it can complete a job. Follow the recorded progress and check the result against its sources. A prepared draft, an approved action and a confirmed external result are different stages. Use the relevant guide for setup requirements and availability notes.
