An action has an unknown outcome

Check what happened before sending or changing something again.

A timeout can happen after a provider accepted an action. An unknown outcome means Artie has not confirmed what happened; it is not proof that nothing ran.

Identify the exact action

Review the task or Activity record for the recipient, destination or changed record. Distinguish preparing a draft, submitting an action and confirming its result. Keep the original operation context.

Look for authoritative confirmation

Use the linked provider record, message, file or receipt where accessible. A sent message or changed record is stronger evidence than a spinner disappearing. If Artie is checking the result, let that reconciliation continue.

Avoid an unnecessary duplicate

Do not start the same send, purchase or record change as a new job just to see if it works. Continue independent work that does not depend on the uncertain result. Explain any current evidence in the original task.

Use the supported recovery path

Follow the resolution offered for the action. If you cannot establish its outcome, contact support with the task and provider reference. Do not manually alter technical records to clear the state.
